Types of Renderings and Virtual Tours

 

We realize some folks might not fully understand the different types of rendering services we offer. To better explain what we do, how we do it, and what end products you get from us we thought we would put together this little explanation.

 

If you already have a model or spec home built, then you can take actual photographs of that model and use it for marketing purposes. You can hire a professional photographer, videographer, or a company like Matterport to take special panoramic photographs that are then combined into a 3D virtual panorama online that allows a client to virtually “walk through” your model or spec home via their computer or tablet.

 

If you do not already have a model or spec home built, that is where we come in! We can build the model home for you on our computers, fully in 3D. If you only want the exterior front elevation rendering, then we only build the exterior of the home. If you want an interior kitchen shot, we build just that kitchen and any surrounding rooms you want in the scene. If you want to render the full model for a virtual movie or virtual tour, then we build the full home in 3D on our computers. Once we have built the model, we can do all the following different types of renders:

 

3D Model Renderings - We can generate still shots of interior rooms, or the exterior elevations of your home. These are typically used with your color floorplan to make a brochure flyer to handout, or used to print signs and billboards.

 

3D Virtual Model Movies - We can make an animated movie which takes the viewer through a guided tour of your model. This is a standard movie format and will autoplay.

 

3D Virtual Model Tours We can generate 3D tours with clickable "hot spots" which a user can movie virtually through the home. These are similar to what you see from a service like Matterport. A virtual tour is a 360 degree panorama view which allows a client to move their mouse or phone, pan around the rooms, then click links to view other rooms in the home virtually.
